| So I use to be a Yankees-hater, but ever since Joe Torre called up Tainan, Taiwan native Wang Chien-Ming from the minors I've joined the Yankees bandwagon. Sorry Angels. That's what you get for betraying OC fans by changing your name to LA and by trading little David Eckstein!

Even bought my first ever Yankees paraphernalia: a #40 Wang T-shirt. Now, if only McFarlane would come out with an exclusive Wang figure. . . .

He's 3 and 1 with an ERA of 4.09 and has racked up 12Ks so far. He retired 17 straight against the Mariners last Tuesday and defeated the Tigers today. And oh, he's my new hero.
Read the Taipei Times today and thought I'd share these 2 stories in particular. One is for all you crazed Star Wars fans and the other is for Jenn Chu who I always see slathering herself with Tropicana's Sun Tan products.
-United Kingdom `Star Wars' fans injured Two Star Wars fans were critically injured when they tried to replicate the light sabers used in the movie by filling glass fluorescent light tubes with fuel. The pair, Mark Webb, 20, and an unidentified 17-year-old girl, were planning to make a video recording of a duel like those in the just-released blockbuster film Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. They were injured when one of the makeshift sabers exploded Sunday evening in the woods in Hemel Hempstead, north of London. The two were injured and in critical condition at a burns unit.
(Just plain stupid!!)
-United States Greased woman gets away A liberal slathering of suntan lotion gave one California woman more protection than she bargained for, allowing her to slip out of the grasp of a would-be rapist. The attack took place while the woman stopped off in a bathroom while jogging in the deserted park early Sunday. When she emerged from a stall, a man was lying in wait for her inside the ladies' loo. The man, who she said was poised to sexually assault her, tackled her to the ground, but her suntan protection allowed her to escape his grasp and make a dash for the door. Police are still hunting for the suspect who fled after the attack.
(Jenn, I hope this wasn't you!!)
Hope you all are doing well back home.

| GO SUNS!!!!! Man it sucks to be missing the playoffs. The games are aired here in the mornings between 9 and 12 and are horribly commentated, they make listening to Bill Walton tolerable!
My picks for the Finals: SUNS vs. HEAT
Although I'd like to see former Clip Q Rich and the SUNS take it all, I'd like it even more if Shaq and the HEAT win it all and then as he is being interviewed live say an expletive or two and then flash the trophy in Kobe's sorry face.
And on a side note: Phil don't come back to LA. Let Kobe wallow in HIS own doing.

| - Anyone know of a natural home remedy to help you fall asleep!!!??? I can't seem to get a good night's rest anymore!!
Glad the month of April is coming to an end. It has been one of my worst months here in Taiwan, with teaching, my health and losing my keys. The end of June can't seem to come soon enough!! I can't wait to get home in July for a vacation! As another restless night passed me by here are some things I can't wait to get home to:
1.) My mom and my dad and of course you guys back home! 2.) Marie Calendar's Banana Cream Pie (anyone care for a slice?) 3.) The Deluxe Chili Cheese Fries at Del Taco 4.) The Chili Cheese Fries at the Hat (Phil or Gary, you know I'm calling you for this one) 5.) Little Caesar's Pizza 6.) The Macho Combo Burrito at Del Taco (T or Justin, lets have one for ol' time sakes?) 7.) A Breakfast Burrito 8.) The new release dvd section of Best Buy 9.) Driving, Parking and Sitting in Traffic 10.) Souplantation (Teardrop?) 11.) Weekend Ballin at La Rosa Elementary (30% behind the arc baby!) 12.) Sleeping in my own bed 13.) Vegas 14.) Horse Racing at Santa Anita :)
I know it's the rough times in life that make us stronger and better, but . . . . sometimes you just want your mommie.

| What is up with the market!!!!! Today was the fourth triple digit loss for the month!!!! The Dow closed -115.05 today and was down -191 last Friday!!! Aiya! Teardrop do something!!!
So this has been a rough week. I dunno if its because we're nearing the end of the school term or because I'm tired of the daily classroom ruckus and the attitude some of my students have, but for the first time in 7 months, I've hit the wall and don't seem to want to pick myself up. I've never known to be a quitter, but the past few days have seriously put me to the test.
The humidity has risen here and it sucks to even walk outside in jeans. I wish I could teach in boardshorts and my rainbows in this weather!!
Anyways, I'd like to end on a positive note: I'd like to introduce you to my new girlfriend!

Her name is Lin Chi-ling. She just doesn't know who I am. YET!!!!
